Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our Passumpsic communities and employees. That’s why we have made the decision to move to drive-up service, effective Wednesday, November 25. However, for banking services that cannot be conducted via the drive-up, in-branch appointments are available. With the recent influx of COVID-19 cases in Vermont and New Hampshire, we are taking every precaution to keep our customers and employees as safe as possible. Please know, while the way we conduct our banking may look a little different, we will remain open to serve all of your banking needs, just in what is, for now, a safer way. Should you need anything that cannot be conducted via the drive-thru, you have options. As always, all of our digital banking platforms are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Passumpsicbank.com, and on our mobile app. If you do require an in-person appointment with a banker or loan officer, contact us at (802)748-3196 or (800)370-3196 to make an appointment with your local branch. Once you have scheduled your appointment, upon arrival you must wear a protective mask. Your banker will as well. You also will be asked a series of screening questions.
If you do not pass this screening, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment when it is safe to do so, and we will work with you to come up with a safer way to help you in the meantime. Governor Chris Sununu Issues Statewide Mask Mandate
Concord, NH — With rising cases, substantial statewide community transmission, and an increase in hospitalizations, today Governor Chris Sununu signed an Emergency Order instituting a statewide mask mandate in New Hampshire, as cases rose to 529 -- the state’s highest total to date. The mask mandate takes effect at 12:01 AM on Friday, November 20, 2020, and will remain in effect through January 15, 2021.
“With rising cases, substantial statewide community transmission, and an increase in hospitalizations – the data supports enacting a statewide mask mandate,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “Instituting this commonsense mask mandate today will allow us to keep our economy open and help ensure our health care system has the capacity and workforce it needs in the coming weeks. By wearing a mask, Granite Staters can keep our friends, family, neighbors, and critical workforce members and those they care for safe – without shutting down the economy.”
Beginning on November 20, 2020, all persons over the age of 5 within the State of New Hampshire shall wear mask or cloth face coverings over their noses and mouths any time they are in public spaces, indoors or outdoors, where they are unable to or do not consistently maintain a physical distance of at least six feet from persons outside their own households.
For purposes of this Order, the term “public spaces” includes any part of private or public property that is generally open or accessible to members of the general public. Public spaces include, but are not limited to, lobbies, waiting areas, outside plazas or patios, restaurants, retail businesses, streets, sidewalks, parks, beaches, elevators, restrooms, stairways, parking garages, etc.

Governor Phil Scott today announced that the State of Emergency has been extended to December 15, 2020 to ensure the state can continue to suppress the spread of COVID-19.

VT GOVERNOR PHIL SCOTT ANNOUNCES STRENGTHENED MASK REQUIREMENTS
As the state continues its sustained efforts to encourage mask use as a tool to limit the spread of COVID-19 and protect the most vulnerable, VT Governor Phil Scott today announced strengthened mask requirements in public places and congregate settings.
Effective Saturday, August 1, 2020, the amendment asking all Vermonters to wear masks or cloth facial coverings any time it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least six feet with others from outside their household.
Per order of the State of VT, Passumpsic Bank is now requiring all who enter our Vermont branches to wear a mask or a facial covering. If you prefer not to wear a mask or facial covering, please take advantage of our drive through services.

Limited Lobby Access Is Now Available!
Passumpsic Bank is ready to move to Phase II of our Branch reopening process. We do this in step with control measures, as defined by the CDC and state government guidelines.
Starting on Monday, June 8, limited customer in-branch access will be available for bank transactions only. Appointments with Commercial Bankers, Universal Bankers or Financial Consultants will continue by phone or digital meetings at this time. Contact your Banker or Consultant for more details.
Signage is posted before entering our branches providing the following social distancing guidelines:
- No entry if signs of respiratory illness are evident
- Stay 6 feet apart from everyone
- Customers are encouraged to wear a cloth mask
- Occupancy limits are posted for each lobby
Waiting areas for customers will be provided in the branch if ample space is available. Lobby floors will be marked with arrows to adhere to social distancing guidelines. All employees will be wearing approved cloth or surgical face masks in customer contact areas. A translucent shield or sneeze guard will also be used in lieu of masks at teller lines. Alcohol based hand sanitizer will be made readily available for customers in our lobbies.
We do encourage you to continue to use our Drive-up service, which is available at all eleven branch locations. All your transaction needs, except safe deposit access, can be taken care of at the drive-up. Our Customer Support staff is also available to answer your questions during regular business hours at 802-748-3196 or toll-free at 1-800-370-3196.
Our goal remains to help keep everyone safe and healthy as we transition through the reopening business phases.

On May 15, 2020, Vermont Governor Phil Scott signed Addendum 14, A Be Smart, Stay Safe order to extend the State of Emergency to June 15 and update previous emergency orders to reflect re-openings and eased restrictions announced in recent weeks. State data and modeling indicates the spread of COVID-19 continues to slow and Vermont now has one of the lowest 3-day and 7-day growth rates in the country.
