Community CANstruction Food Drive Supports Local Food Programs

12/19/25

Passumpsic Bank is dedicated to supporting our communities, and food has a powerful ability to empower growth, build trust, and enrich the lives of our neighbors.

Thanks to generous contributions made during the Community CANstruction Food Drive, nearly 1,500 nonperishable foods and essential household items were distributed to local organizations that support food assistance. This equates to an estimated 25,000 meals for communities in Vermont and New Hampshire.

This would not have been possible without our customers who spread the word, and those who made contributions within our branches. Donations are being used by food programs to help stock food banks, to distribute through meal delivery services, and to create warm meals for community members to enjoy and spark shared moments of joy.

“Our community really showed up for one another,” said Amy Goyette, Director of the Littleton Area Senior Center at Grafton County Senior Citizens Council. “The Center is a place where people come together to lift, encourage, and support each other. Over 200 meals are prepared and distributed each day, and we’ve seen a growing need. Every individual is seen, heard, and valued – and that impact is only possible through the generosity of supporters like Passumpsic Bank.”

We are eternally grateful for organizations that support food assistance, for our customers, and for our staff, who all recognize the significance and value of supporting the needs of our communities.

Passumpsic Bank is excited to host our Annual Food Drive in February, and look forward to your participation this year.
